Fantasy Forest Tileset
A downloadable asset pack
This is my first tileset, a work in progress. It also includes two bushes that were done before I started to do the tileset. One bush has a lower color count (LCC) than the other. They are 32px as a tile size. The tileset itself is designed as 16px*16px. These assets are PNG file format. There were some tiles that did not make it into the submission but I look forward to adding more as I go. You will notice one of the corner tiles has more detail and as I worked on it, the later tiles have a different feel to them, so they may not appear consistent. I could spend paragraphs talking about what I like or don't like about the tileset. lol, so I will end this here and let whomever wants to use this for what it is, as they see fit. I'm glad I participated in an event and followed through with a submission! I am excited to discover my own pixel art style and share the things I make. Thanks for hosting the art jam Indie Game Academy! ::this is where I would insert emojis:: Peace!!

I updated with a download to include more of the original tiles that I started with, which were a Side Scrolling perspective. I have added more since then though and slowly worked on putting in more tiles. Using the Aseprite tiling feature has made this very exciting to create. I made so many tiles though and started getting them mixed up a lot, getting confused with which ones I was editing or deleting. I was doing simple things then over complicating some tiles with each different work sessions. So after making enough tiles and trying to determine which style I felt more inclined to work on, I decided that the side scrolling perspective was the one I preferred. And aside from mixing up the perspectives, which started to happen, I just wanted to at least update the tileset before moving on to something else.

A nice simple tileset; I like the dithering and color choices. Could probably have leaned more into the fantasy theme.
Very much could have leaned into the fantasy theme. lol, thanks for the comment!! I will take that into account as I continue to work on it.
